It is also very well-integrated with other programs, like Photoshop and Apple’s Aperture. One thing that I am not a big fan of is the manual exposure adjustment tools. I actually much prefer it when Lightroom moves away from that to the automatic exposure tools. The default behavior of those tends to be better, especially in that it does not involve a slider, but still provides the look of more work input — tweak it when you really want to, not just by pressing buttons. I was very much surprised by the number of functions in Lightroom. The good news is that most of them are well-implemented, convenient tools, often with a clear drawback. If anything, the downside is a bit too much here and there. Things that I did not like the first time were usually the more obscure tools. Maybe this is an impression of a newbie, but I felt like they were hiding behind the more basic ones.
